The LabCam App enables to easily capture scientific research data like photos or videos and various metadata and automatically transfer them from android devices to an image repository.
LabCam is for scientists and scientific assistants who collect their research data with mobile devices.
It is based on the open source software imeji with its own community.
This is the first version of the LabCam App.
Future improvements are the integration of the OCR method, the possibility to add voice messages, label certain photos or copy metadata profiles.
EASY LOGINLog into the LabCam is either with username and password or by scanning your QR-Code.
The Code contains information about the personal account and the Collection ID.
Therefore you have to sign into the webpage and scan the QR-Code with your mobile device.
AUTOMATIC UPLOADThere are two different ways for uploading your data: manual and automatic.
The manual upload is recommendable for a small amount of pictures and videos.
In contrast the automatic upload is for large quantities of data.
Therefore you have to set the online destination by using the settings.
Afterwards the upload function will start automatically if you take some new photos with your mobile device.

The App was tested by HTC Nexus 9 tablet and Samsung Galaxy Camera 2.
